Older Android apps automatically get these permissions when you install them, but you can revoke any permission you want from here. Denying permission may cause it to no longer function as intended. Most of the time, applications should just continue working normally if you revoke their permissions. In other cases, an application may just not function normally.
How to Manage App Permissions on Android
Either way, if you encounter a problem with an app, you can always come back to this screen and grant it these permissions again. This can give you a better idea of what an app is actually doing with those permissions. Android now hides these more fine-grained permissions. Be aware: To view and manage all app permissions at once, go to the list of apps by opening the Settings screen and tapping Apps.
To view the apps that have access to each type of data or sensor and control this, tap a category. For example, to see which apps have access to your calendar information, tap Calendar.
To prevent an app from accessing your calendar information, disable it on the Calendar permissions screen. We performed this process with Android 6. When you're done modifying an app's permissions, tap "OK" at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can select other apps to modify their permissions as well, but when you're finished, tap "Set All. From now on, these apps will no longer be able to access the permissions that you've revoked. Depending on your choices, this means your sensitive data is better protected, and you might even see a boost in battery life and performance.
Which apps did you purify?

I'd suggest contacting the UUSafe support team at support moboclean. Hi Dallas, So, without root, is it possible to modify app permissions? Thanks in advance. It's possible now on Marshmallow or higher, but if your phone is still running an older version of Android, UUSafe's app whatever they're calling it these days is the only method I'm aware of. You can find the new version of the app covered in this article at their website here.
